This became the first time I observed the test in a year ; )
Little funny thing I found...
I always found having so much frustration for taking tests, however, I kinda missed to be on the mat and take one for myself yesterday.
Test is more of how to put myself together and do only Aikido while you were stared at by evxx teachers with clip boards ; ) ...which I barely remember what happened after taking it even though it feels like thats the only thing happening in the whole world when I am taking it...its so mentally stressful (doesnt mean bad) even more than physically. Although after spending a year taking 5 tests...I find myself being able to enjoy to have that chance every once in a while ; )
I have been keeping notes when I took them but lets see how I remember them now.
- 9-10th kyu test: I had not even seen the test before I took this one, so I basically had no idea what "test" was. More than anything, I found it very tiring. Thats pretty much all I remember. As far as "I barely remember goes", there also were 4 techniques for this test which I remember even not knowing what they were about.
- 7-8th kyu test: Probably the one I felt the most frustration for... Just had started seeing what we were supposed to do with the techniques, yet not to be able to do it quite the way we wanted to...It was so overwhelming, and it was so worth going through.
- 6th kyu test:Yonkajo-1...I just did not get what it was about...I may know it a little better now, still dont quite know the definate way to make it happens for anybody...Also, Sankajo-1 took me a long time to see the picture of it in the beginning...being so tensed on the mat was around this time... The good news is that I became pretty good at Sankajo-1 after suffering so much in the beginning. : )
- 5th kyu test: The time to start flipping! Kotegaeshi...I did the right side twice during the test, couldnt figure how that happened...
- 4th kyu test: The LONGEST, The Hardest Test of the year!! 545 took it at the same time for the first time...it just took long while teachers (judges) had to check every one of us for every movement we did...I really learned "pacing" is necessary for the test.
This year, I am aiming to take 2 tests, the harest ones in the whole world... I think I am ready to be ready in 3 month for my next one : )
